The LA Kings' 8th overall pick and top defenceman prospect Brandt Clarke has been suspended for an illegal check to the head. Take a look at the hit below.
The OHL has a policy where they announce an «indefinite» suspension immediately, and soon after determine the amount of games the penalty will be.
The opinion from most seems to be the hit does not warrant a suspension at all. The OHL likely has better camera angles, but from footage circulating online, the hit does not appear to be suspension worthy.
Clarke, 19 years old, currently has 54 points in 47 games with the Barrie Colts. If in accordance with other OHL suspensions, he will miss 2-3 games as a result of this suspension.
