Bruins legend suits up for team could play tonight if needed
The Boston Bruins hit the ice for practice on Thursday morning with a notable player missing - goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
Swayman is reportedly feeling under the weather and it's unclear at this time if he'll be able to dress for tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres.
As the team hit the ice, a very familiar face took the role of EBUG, that being Tuukka Rask, who retired from professional hockey in early 2022.
"With Jeremy Swayman under the weather, Tuukka Rask is in his @NHLBruins EBUG era 😅"
Rask, 36, spent his entire 15-year career in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, winning a Stanley Cup with them in 2011, as well as the Vezina Trophy three years later in 2014.
We'll likely find out later this afternoon how Swayman is doing, but if he's not able to go, there's a very good chance that Tuukka Rask will don the Boston Bruins uniform as the teams backup.
