Some bad news for recent high draft pick Matvei Michkov. The 18-year-old is dealing with some health issues that are keeping him out of Sochi's KHL lineup.
According to reports, Michkov has missed several games, and will miss the KHL's All-Star game this weekend as he attempts to get over a case of pneumonia.
"Matvei Michkov has missed several games and has now been diagnosed with pneumonia, a lung infection that can range from mild to so severe that you have to go to the hospital.
Wishing the for him and hope for a speedy recovery."
The seventh overall pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the latest NHL draft is still having himself a heck of a season in Russia. In 30 games so far, he has 11 goals and 26 points. Michkov started the season with SKA St. Petersburg, but was loaned to Sochi so he could get more ice time. SKA has a pretty stacked lineup and is hoping to make a solid run at the Gagarin Cup.
