Despite a dramatic overtime win of their own recently against the Calgary Flames, the Boston Bruins were on the wrong end of an OT winner on Saturday night, taking them to 7-7-2 on the season.
Frustrations are clearly mounting, especially for Head Coach Jim Montgomery, who was absolutely speechless after their loss to the Ottawa Senators, which was capped off by a Brady Tkachuk game winner.
He wasn't the only one that was overtly frustrated, as captain Brad Marchand was seen on camera abusing Tkachuk after the goal, with the 'Everyday Sens' social media account clearly picking up the name that he called the Senators captain.
Given the way that both Tkachuk and Marchand play a very similar game, this isn't that surprising, and certainly isn't something that would bother Tkachuk, who, like Marchand loves this type of energy on the ice.
Still, this hilarious moment doesn't take away from the Bruins struggles, as they got exactly 0 shots on net during the third period as they now slump to 7-7-2 on the year, despite still sitting third in the Atlantic Division.
As for Marchand, he sits second on the team in points with 5 goals and 12 points through 16 games, so while he certainly hasn't been blameless, it's safe to say that the team around him need to pick up their game.
Clearly there's a long time to go in this season, giving Boston plenty of time to turn this around, but with frustrations potentially boiling over soon both on and off the ice, things could get very ugly in Bean Town.
