Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak were at the centre of a controversial report on Friday, and now the captain has taken to social media to call it out again, showing a very united front with the Bruins biggest star.
On Friday, all hell broke loose in Boston, as a report came out that captain Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak had a feud within the Boston Bruins locker room that was causing a rift between the team.
Unsurprisingly, Marchand and Pastrnak have both shut down the report immediately, and while the team have continued to struggle on the ice, it appears as though everything in the locker room is going well.
Now, Brad Marchand has doubled down on his criticism of the reporter involved in the situation, posting a photo of both he and Pastrnak along with their partners to social media with this caption:
Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinion of sheep.
While some teams and players potentially ignore reports like this, Marchand has aggressively refuted the entire situation, and with Pastrnak presenting a united front on this situation, the Bruins are handling this exactly the way the fans would have liked.
Coming into Friday, the team have dropped six straight games, so this report was simply piling on to a team that's genuinely struggling as of late, but if they can turn things around, this team still has potential in 2024/25.
Ultimately, if Marchand and Pastrnak are overdoing it and there is some problems behind the scenes, time will reveal all, but for now, this report came out of absolutely nowhere and hasn't been addressed by other top NHL Insiders, with major question marks around the reporter that brought this report to light.
