Team Canada is optimistic ahead of the Four Nations Face Off, and now Brad Marchand has shown just how confident this team are in their success.
The Four Nations Face Off has been a highly anticipated tournament for hockey fans, and with Team Canada and the rest of the teams coming together for practice ahead of the tournament, they all appear to be building their confidence.
With Team USA's immense goaltending, Sweden's ridiculous blue line and Canada's forward group, this is truly set to be a best-on-best tournament, with the most star power we've seen at a single competition in quite some time.
While Canada failed at the World Juniors, it appears national pride is ready to be restored, with their forward group being arguably the best at the tournament with players like Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon and Sam Reinhart among the stars on display.
So just how confident are they? After a few days of practice, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand made this outlandish statement about how to stop Canada's top powerplay unit.
"I would probably put three goalies in the net and just let them try to do the job."
On paper, it's the type of statement that could come back to haunt Canada if they don't thrive on the PP, but with the group expected to be McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Makar and one of Marchand/Marner/Reinhart, it's easy to see why confidence is incredibly high.
There's some great teams out there in the Four Nations, and potentially some of the best penalty kill units we've seen on the ice in years, but with the combination of speed, skill, IQ and pure flair, there's never been anything like this assembled, hockey fans are in for an absolute treat at this tournament.
