While the season started well for the Buffalo Sabres, things have gone downhill very quickly, as the team have lost 11 straight games after a 6-1 thumping at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.
This all comes after owner owner Terry Pegula met with the team, and reportedly the message coming out of that meeting was "we believe in this group, no changes are coming".
That sentiment seems to be holding true even after the loss to Montreal, as Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli is now reporting that the team have received concrete offers on several players, all of which at this point have been ignored.
While he didn't reveal which players the team had received offers on, it's easy to assume that Dylan Cozens, Bowen Byram and Owen Power would all be among those players that opposing teams have interest in.
Pegula has drawn the ire of fans for a long time in Buffalo, but after his recent move, it's fair to say that morale is at an all-time low with the Sabres, with fans letting the team and the owner know their frustrations on social media.
After so long of struggling, the Sabres need to take a stand at some point and keep firm with the group they have, but after 11 straight losses, it may ultimately be time for them to make a move.
If the losing streak continues, it's only a matter of time until those calls are returned, but for now, Pegula, GM Kevyn Adams and the team are waiting to see if the current squad can turn things around.
