A global IT outage Friday is causing chaos and concern across the world and even though it's summer the hockey community is not immune to disruption.

According to NHL and Hockey insider Michael Russo, the public appearance of Kyle Okposo with the Stanley Cup has been delayed because the flight which was supposed to carry the Cup to Minnesota has been delayed from St. Louis.

While the event will likely be rescheduled for a later date, it should be noted that an awful lot of fans, friends and Okposo himself are likely extremely disappointed in the developments of the morning and the sudden cancellation of what should have been a joyous event.

Especially for Okposo who has waited through years of his NHL career to share in this special moment only to have it be derailed by circumstances beyond his control is an incredibly large letdown.

Okposo, a veteran of over 1000 games in the NHL between the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers was dealt to the Panthers earlier this season so he could chase the dream of winning a Stanley Cup before his career came to an end played six regular season games with the Panthers where he contributed two penalty minutes while averaging 10:41 of ice time.
