Free agency is always a busy time of year around the National Hockey League with players being signed by new teams or traded when the calendar turns to July 1st.
This year was one of, if not the busiest opening of free agency the NHL has ever seen and with that comes newly acquired players showing off their new, personalized equipment with their new team.
Goaltender Darcy Kuemper who the Los Angeles Kings just acquired in a deal that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Washington Capitals finally has a new mask that he'll wear with the Kings and it is a thing to behold.
As pointed out in the tweet above, Kuemper's new mask shows off the history of the Kings logo in intricate detail, nodding to the players that came before the present day and showing how it had progressed through the years to the present day.
If anyone has a sense of what it's like to add a little bit of flair to their equipment it certainly is goaltenders and Kuemper is no exception
