Vincent Trocheck Breaks Silence and Makes his Feelings Known Surrounding the Rangers Drama and Players Meeting
New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck has just shed light on everything that was said behind closed doors during the Rangers emergency meeting.
Vincent Trocheck provided details about the stories that have been going around recently regarding a closed-door meeting that was held Sunday night after the New York Rangers' 3-2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues.
«When we have closed-door meetings in here, it's about us,» Trocheck said via Mollie Walker of The New York Post. «It's about what we can do. Obviously, we're in a little bit of a hole right now, and it's about what we can do to get out of it. It has nothing to do with management. They do their job.»
The players-only meeting was full of venom, according to ESPN's Emily Kaplan.
Some players implied that Rangers general manager Chris Drury was the cause of their annoyance, but Vincent Trocheck put that aside, saying that the discussion was solely about on-ice performance in general.
«Chris is doing his job to try to put the best players on the ice to succeed. We are those players, and we have to go out there and perform. Do we what can to succeed. I just wanted to clear the air on that. Obviously there's a lot of stuff circulating our team right now and when I see something like that, I don't know where it even comes from. That kind of frustrated me.»

The trade rumor mill and reported internal tension have only been ramped up by the pressure on the team. Some of the rumors are true, some are not, but all have added up to become a bit of a sideshow for players trying to focus on playing their game.
The noise will not stop about the Rangers until they start to get out of this hole and become a winning team again.
