NHL Department of Player Safety announces multi-game suspension for Tony DeAngelo
During last night's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers' defender Tony DeAngelo lost his cool. DeAngelo delivered a spear to the groin of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Corey Perry. The spear clearly found its mark and upset the entire Lightning team.
The spear by DeAngelo was blatant and clearly intentional. Today the Department of Player Safety announced that DeAngelo would be forced to sit 2 games for his stick work.
Philadelphia's Tony DeAngelo has been suspended for two games for Spearing Tampa Bay's Corey Perry.
Many fans felt that 2 games wasn't enough for this action, but this does fall in line with similar situations that have occurred in the past. What do you think though? Was two games enough?
