The St Louis Blues are taking on the Winnipeg Jets tonight and the temperature of the game has definitely take a turn.
Blues defender Torey Krug was incensed after getting an extra 2 minutes for roughing after he came to a teammates defence for a questionable hit, take a look:
After all the dust settles, Krug was assessed two minors for roughing, a 2 minute minor for unsportsmanlike for arguing the second rouging call, a 10 minute misconduct and game misconduct.
Most times, I can see where the officials are attempting to make an extra call, but on this play I don't see how Krug, standing up for a teammate after an awkward hit, earns him the second roughing penalty.
He has every right to be upset, however, the Blues already have a player who has major trouble controlling their emotions, if more players follow suit, that also isn't the best case either.
The officiating has been horrid all year and as long as it continues to go this way, I can see more and more players losing their cool in game
