Ryan Reaves Gives an All Time Quote Ahead of Anticipated Return from Suspension
Ryan Reaves is on his way back from a suspension for a brutal hit, and now he's given a hilarious answer ahead of his return to the ice for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This season has certainly been an up-and-down one for veteran Ryan Reaves, highlighted thus far by a suspension for a brutal hit to the head of Edmonton's Darnell Nurse that drew widespread criticism around the NHL.
However, he's now about to return for the Maple Leafs, as he is eligible to rejoin the lineup against the Nashville Predators, with the veteran finally allowed to do media ahead of this potential return.
When asked about the suspension and the toll that it took on him, Reaves had an all-time answer ready:
The quote came due to the $35,000 fine that was sent the way of Reaves along with his suspension, and while he's certainly got much, much more money in the bank after a $1,350,000 AAV deal signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs, it's a hilarious answer nonetheless.
However, it's unclear how often Reaves will feature in the Maple Leafs lineup moving forward, as the veteran has been scratched several times throughout the year, and before his hit on Nurse, he was hardly producing at a high level or making any impact at all.
It's clear to see though that Reaves is yet to lose his sense of humour that's made him very popular throughout his NHL career, but the one thing that will make Maple Leafs fans most happy is production on the ice.
For now though, Reaves has delivered another all-time quote, and after his suspension is up, we hope to see no more plays like the one Reaves delivered on Nurse moving forward.
