Brock Boeser's future is up in the air beyond the trade deadline, and now he's opened up ahead of what may be his final game as a member of the Vancouver Canucks.
Over the past few weeks, there have been many reports on the future of Vancouver Canucks star winger Brock Boeser, but the latest of all revealed that he had turned down a five-year extension from the team on the eve of the 2025 trade deadline.
However, there's still the chance that any of the three options for Boeser could happen, with the Canucks potentially extending him after the deadline, moving him before the deadline or ultimately letting him walk into free agency over the summer.
We will at least be able to rule out one of those in the next 48 hours, and ahead of what could be his final game as a Vancouver Canuck on Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks, he made it clear that he's not focused on all of the outside noise.
I'm not trying to think about that. I honestly have no idea what's going to happen.
As of right now, there's clear interest in Boeser around the league, but thus far no team has met Vancouver's asking price, and after what the Tampa Bay Lightning gave up to get two Seattle Kraken forwards, that may change in the very near future.
In 2024/25 thus far, Boeser has been solid again with 18 goals and 18 assists in 53 games played, and given his pedigree as a 40-goal scorer in the NHL, interest may pick up over the next 24 hours, so keep your eyes peeled on the Canucks as they have some very big decisions to make.
