Embarrassing footage emerged of J.T. Miller giving up on the play in last night's disappointing 5-1 loss to the Central Division rival Los Angeles Kings.

Yesterday, the Vancouver Canucks hosted the Los Angeles Kings, but the night didn't end the way their fans hoped it would, after paying hundreds of dollars to not only watch their team lose but also show a poor and embarrassing effort.

When you're playing against a team of your own division, passion, and energy levels must be through the roof, especially with the race for the playoffs tighter than ever in the Western Conference.

The Canucks truly seem distracted by the ongoing feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson.

Last night, Miller was out of focus and had a bad game.

It happens to all athletes, but in Miller's case, it's starting to become a pattern.

He made a horrible mistake that led to the Kings' second goal of the game, less than ten minutes into the first period.

In fact, it wasn't just a mistake, he blatantly let his teammates down by giving up on the play.

Check it out:

Later, after the Kings' fourth goal, Tocchet moved near Miller on the bench, and Miller looked like he didn't want to hear it and moved away from him, showing what could be seen as disrespectful behavior towards his coach:

After the game, Tocchet commented on Millers' struggles, saying that something bad occurs whenever he's on the ice:

"He is struggling. He is caught in between. It seems like every time he is on the ice, something bad happens.

I think he has some bad luck, but he also has some reads that he has to look at himself right now, focus on some of these reads. I mean, you can't dive in on a four-on-four, things like that. I think he is trying, but I think the focus level has to get a little higher."

Miller will have to be much better if doesn't want to get an ever worst reputation in the NHL.
