Cam Robinson is one of the most well respected scouts in the public scouting world for the NHL.
He currently serves as the director and director of film scouting for Elite Prospects, the biggest name in the hockey prospect world.
Even NHL clubs themselves have been known to use Elite Prospects tools to help manage their teams and make moves.
Today, Robinson did something he normally does not do, dropping some insider information.
He says that he has heard that the New Jersey Devils are among the teams inquiring about Vancouver Canucks star center JT Miller.
Unfortunately for the Devils, they may have a serious problem when it comes to making that deal.
Miller has a full no-move clause in his contract, and reports emerged earlier this week that he is only willing to waive it in order to go to the New York Rangers.
Of course, Miller is familiar with the Rangers, having played with the team from 2012 to 2018.
In fact, the Rangers are the team that drafted Miller in the 1st round, 15th overall in 2011.
So it makes sense that he would want to return to the first team he ever played for.
That being said, the Rangers have their own problems this season with players like Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad underperforming.
The team could certainly use the offense Miller provides, but what do the Rangers have that Vancouver would want?
The Devils certainly have more intriguing options with a very healthy prospect pool and young roster players they may be willing to give up to bring in a player of Miller's Caliber.
But if Miller is unwilling to go there, that is as far as those rumors will go.
