Brady Tkachuk was forced to answer the bell after a questionable hit against the Winnipeg Jets
Today is Hockey Day in Canada and every year, there seems to be a little bit of extra energy when games fall on days like this. This afternoon, the Winnipeg Jets were in the nations capital to take on the Ottawa Senators.
Early in the 1st period Senators captain Brady Tkachuk was forced to answer the bell on a hit that has fans divided; take a look.
Brenden Dillion took exception to the hit Tkachuk delivered and made him answer for it, the fight itself didn't last long, however, Dillon clearly won, the officials had to step in to stop the fight when Tkachuk's helmet popped off.
The hit itself appeared to be dirty, not only was it from behind, but Tkachuk left his feet, thus the response from Dillon and the Jets.
