Some old-fashioned hockey out of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Last night. Goaltenders from the Flin Flon Bombers and the Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers squared off, with one of them eating a fist right off the bat.
Kenneth Marquart of the Bombers caught the Klippers' Logan Falk with a punch to the mouth on his first swing. Falk went crashing to the ice, taking Marquart with him. Falk seems to be ok, although he hit his head pretty hard on the ice. The two continued trying to take swings at each other while the officials separated them. Marquart was obviously fired up after landing a big one, and got the crowd into with him by getting them to make some noise.
The SJHL is known for being a tough league. Regardless of the outcome, both were ready and willing to drop the gloves without hesitation.
