Connor Bedard gets erased by massive hit from Matt Dumba
Moments ago in tonight's Chicago Blackhawks game, a recent trend continued with phenom rookie Connor Bedard. He's recently been taking some hard physical play from other teams, and tonight, he got erased by a huge hit from Coyotes defenceman Matt Dumba.
Bedard entered the zone with the puck and pivoted to make a pass while Dumba begun lining him up for the check. Dumba's contact sent Bedard crumbling into the boards, but fortunately he got up right away and didn't seem to take an injury on the play. Bedard definitely got caught here admiring his pass, and paid a price for it.
Weirdly enough, nobody came to the defence of Bedard with a scrum, a hit, a fight, or anything at all.
