The ECHL is well-known for it's scrappy play and for fighting over the years and on Friday night in a game between the Orlando Solar Bears and Greenville Swamp Rabbits, a pair of brawls resulted in over 250 penalty minutes.

With 59 seconds remaining in the third period, a line brawl ensued between the two teams that lasted nearly a minutes and saw several players ejected from the remainder of the game.

While the officials though things would have cooled down, that was exactly the opposite of what would happen as 36 seconds later, another line brawl would happen. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear there is any video of the second line brawl.

According to Joey Battaino, the voice of the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, a total of 268 penalty minutes were handed out in the game, 258 of which game during the two brawls. Orlando's 139 penalty minutes tonight is the most in a single game during the 2023-24 season.

"Tonight's Orlando Solar Bears vs. Greenville Swamp Rabbits game featured 268 minutes in penalties. 139 for the Solar Bears, a single-game high for the 2023-24 season." Battaino said.

The Orlando Solar Bears and Greenville Swamp Rabbits are set to meet once again on Saturday night and it'll be interesting to see if any supplemental discipline comes from Friday's brawls and if anything carries over to their game tonight.
