The New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes are letting their tempers gets the best of them in game 3 of their round 2 series of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was chaos after Canes defenceman Dmitry Orlov threw a punch, with the Rangers Jimmy Vesey and Jesperi Kotkaniemi dropping the gloves in the process.
When all was said and done, four people would end up in the penalty box. The teams remained 5-on-5.
"Vesey and [Barclay] Goodrow get minors for #NYR, same for Orlov and Kotkaniemi. Stays 5v5"
Expect a lot more of this in this series. The Rangers currently have a 2-0 series lead.
