15-year-old player suffers medical emergency during game
A 15-year-old hockey player in Russia is on the road to recover after a life threatening injury. The injury happened during a game in Russia over the weekend.
According to Sports24ru the injury occurred in the Championship game of a tournament. As a player drives the net his skate come sup and clips the goalie in the throat. On the ice you could see the immediate panic of teammates.
Medical staff eventually got in the ice and loaded the teenager and rushed him off the ice.
According to reports the boy underwent emergency surgery to treat the injury. He is reportedly now awake and alert and in stable condition. He continued to be monitored by medical professionals at this time in intensive care.
It's clear this player got very lucky.
