3 players placed on waivers including 1000 game NHL veteran
Injuries have once again struck the Toronto Maple Leafs and unfortunately the team is currently sitting with all 50 of their contract slots filled. Because of this today Kyle Dubas made the decision to place veteran Wayne Simmonds on waivers for the second time this season. This choice could help the Leafs open up a contract slot for a potential addition via trade.
Also today the Seattle Kraken have placed goaltender Magnus Hellberg on waivers. Hellberg has been placed on waivers twice this season, once being claimed by Ottawa and the second time being claimed by Seattle. With many teams going through goaltending issues it wouldn't be surprising to see Hellberg claimed.
The Nashville Predators also placed center Zach Sanford on waivers. Sanford has played 8 games this season adding a goal and an assist.
With injuries hitting many teams it would not be surprising to see multiple players get claimed at this time tomorrow.
