The Washington Capitals have been middle of the pack so far this year, sitting 4th in the Metropolitan division, but it seems they're about to get a huge boost as one of their forwards is about to return to the lineup.

According to Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic, Tom Wilson is set to make his season debut tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Wilson, 28, has been out since last May with a torn ACL and after accompanying Washington on their most recent road trip, he's ready to go.

This will definitely give the Capitals an added edge they've been surely missing in their lineup, but it'll also provide somewhat of an offensive boost as well

Last season, Wilson skated in 78 games in which he tallied 52 total points including 24 goals and 28 assists. While also being known as possibly the number one pest in the National Hockey League

Having both Backstrom and Wilson back for tomorrow's game is certainly going to elevate Washington's play to another level.

To make room for both, Washington has placed centre Joseph Snively on waivers to make room .
