Allan Walsh spares no kind words when it comes to the talent he manages, breaking the internet with the Marc-Andre Fleury picture, where he was skewered by the Golden Knights after Robin Lehner was chosen as #1 goal-tender at the time in Vegas.

This time instead of the Vegas Golden Knights, Walsh has criticized Gary Bettman again.

The takeaway from this- MLS is coming for the NHL and with a World Cup scheduled to be played in the U.S. in 2026, just a matter of time before it surpasses the NHL to claim the #4 spot in the U.S. But yeah, Gary's done a great job growing the game.

Walsh rightfully criticizes Gary Bettman's lack of long-term planning as the MLS has scheduled a World Cup in the U.S. in 2026, which will eventually eclipse the NHL's small gains.

While the NHL is an international game, its reach in the U.S. is limited due to multiple factors that limit participation in hockey as a sport. Bettman has certainly made owners richer, but the cultural impact of the sport is limited compared to the MLS, MLB, or NBA.
