After a stroke and the loss of his father, Kristopher Letang scores 2 goals and 2 assists
To say that Kris Letang has had an eventful season would be an understatement. The veteran defender has suffered through a stroke and the loss of his father over the last two months. Neither of those tragedies could come even close to shutting down his passion for the game.
Last night Letang returned to the lineup for the first time since December 28th. Letang played the game with a heavy heart, but he used all of those things as motivation. Letang had the best game of his season and one of the best of his career. Letang went onto score the game winning goal in overtime.
As soon as the puck crossed the line the Penguins rushed onto the ice and you could see the pure emotions from both Letang and his teammates. It's clear just how much Letang means to everyone in that locker room and this success couldn't happen to a better guy.
