Alex DeBrincat opens up on whether he'd be willing to re-sign with the Ottawa Senators
At the NHL Draft Chicago Blackhawks dealt future star, Alex DeBrincat to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the 7th overall pick in the 2022 NHL draft. The trade shocked many NHL fans as it was a break from the Senators usual frugal behavior and showed a willingness to spend.
DeBrincat is the type of player you build around and the Ottawa General Manager has been loading the organization with talent from Claude Giroux to Tim Stuztle previously.
DeBrincat joined a local podcast and shared his thoughts on signing a long-term extension.
I'm obviously looking forward to being [in Ottawa] and definitely open to signing a long contract but I just wanna see if the fits right.
It sounds enthusiastic about signing long-term if there's a fit. Realistically the 40 goal scorer can pad his stats if he's centered by Stutzle and the price is right.
It seems like Dorion really got one over on Kyle Davidson and at this point who hasn't gotten one over on the Chicago Blackhawks.
