Andrew Cogliano speaks out on the Ivan Provorov situation, explains how he'd react to it
Ivan Provorov quickly become public enemy number one for many NHL fans. This after Provorov opted to not take part in the Philadelphia Flyer's Pride Night Celebration. Instead, Provorov remained in the locker room for the entire warm up, before joining his team on the bench for the National Anthem.
Provorov has been the center of attacks from fans ever since. Some are even going as far as attacking his dog's Instagram account. Now Andrew Colgiano of the Colorado Avalanche has spoken out about he feels about Provorov and how he'd feel if a teammate made the same decision.
Everyone is part of this hockey community, and everyone has the right to play. If that happened, especially in our locker room, that player would be embraced and that's it. We continue to play hockey and be a family.
Well many will disagree, it's clear that Cogliano is willing to respect someone like Provorov's views, even if they don't mirror his own.
