Angry hockey player attacks a fan with a stick, until the fan grabs a stick of his own and fights back
Earlier this month in a hockey game in Slovakia tempers got the best of a player and a fan after a wild incident. According to those in attendance things began to escalate at the end of the 2nd period when the goalie begun to complain about fans trying to blind him with a loser pointer.
Organizers were able to find the fan and eventually confiscate the device. But things continued in the 3rd period when team captain Frantiek Bakrlk was called for a penalty. He than began beating and kneeing his opponent.
A fight broke out on the ice as Bakrlk was being ejected. On his way off the ice he flipped off the crowd. Fans reacted by throwing beer on the opposing captain. This then resulted in a wild fight between players and fans. After a player used his stick to strike a fan, the fan grabbed a stick or his own and began to fight back.
The referees sent both teams to the locker room refusing to finish the game. Eventually police were called to the arena as visiting players were too afraid to leave the arena without a police escort.
