The Winnipeg Jets were hosting the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of their first round series at home and just didn't show up on Thursday night.

The Jets won the first game of the series to take the 1-0 series lead, Winnipeg lost four-straight games and is officially the first club bounced from postseason contention.

Vegas ended the first period up 1-0 thanks to a goal from Knights forward Chandler Stephenson. The Golden Knights scored three unanswered goals in the second period to pull away 4-0. Jets forward Kyle Connor got Winnipeg on the board but that was the closet the team would come as the game and their season ended with a 4-1 loss.

After the game Jets head coach Rick Bowness ripped the team:

"I'm so disappointed and disgusted right now; that's my thoughts,"
Bowness said in his one-minute media availably,

Bowness tracked the teams problems back to the mid-winter months.

"It was the same crap we saw in February; it was," Bowness added, "As soon as we were challenging for first place and teams were coming after us, we had no pushback. This series? No pushback."

Calling out his veteran players and goal scorers for their lack of effort and effectiveness, Bowness also hinted on a lack of pride and zero 'pushback'.

"They deserved to win, they were the better team in the regular season, they were the better team in this series."

Bowness has one year remaining on his contract with Winnipeg, but with his remarks and the push for major change, it feels like change will be happening in Winnipeg.
