Another NHL veteran takes off for the KHL
After nine seasons in the NHL, forward Cédric Paquette will continue his professional hockey career in the KHL after signing a contract with Dinamo Minsk.
Paquette split last season between the Montreal Canadiens and their AHL affiliate Laval Rocket. With the Canadiens, Paquette played 24 games contributing two assists. Paquette played 14 games with Laval scoring 9 goals and 10 points.
A fourth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012, Paquette has scored 51 goals and 95 points in 448 career games with the Lightning, Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes and Canadiens.
He won the Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2020.
