Arber Xhekaj bites off more than he can chew and gets dropped by Nic Deslauriers
Arber Xhekaj has been building quite the resume for himself during his rookie season. After dropping Zach Kassian early this season during a fight, Xhekaj made it known that he wasn't afraid of anyone. But sometimes bravery and stupidity can be confused with one and other.
With his team leading 3-2 Xhekaj decided to drop the gloves with a legitimate heavyweight in Nic Deslauriers. While Xhekaj held his own early he ultimately caught an uppercut that dropped him.
This is likely just a learning lesson for the rookie as he'll likely take this and learn from it. But it's just a reminder the kid has a lot to learn about the NHL. Both men received 5 minute majors for fighting and after 2 periods the game is tied 3-3.
