The Boston Bruins took on the Pittsburgh penguins on January 2nd Fenway Park in What was the 2023 Winter Classic. We know hockey players are creatures of habit, but some don't even want new equipment.

According to Hockey of Tomorrow, Brad Marchand didn't want new gloves ahead of the Winter classic and decided go spray paint his old ones instead, take a look.

According to Brad Marchand's teammate Charlie McAvoy, Brad didn't want to change his gloves for the Winter Classic so he decided to spray paint them gold so he could use them.

Usually players get brand new sets of equipment for games like this, but that isn't what Marchand wanted.

I wondered why his gloves looks like a different shade of gold than the rest of his teammates. Clearly, this is why.

To me, this sounds like something only he would do. I know hockey players love their equipment, but most have no problem getting new gloves.

Has anyone tried messing with Marchand's equipment in game? Maybe that's how you get under his skin.
