It's well-known that the Ottawa Senators are currently in a rebuild, and after losing Eugene Melnyk, I doubt this helped the fanbase navigate the mess that is the Senators right now.

The Ottawa Senators announced today that the team has signed forward Brady Tkachuk to a seven-year, $57.5M contract. The contract has an average value of $8.214 million annually and includes the following breakdown: $4.0M in 2021-22, $6.5M in 2022-23, $10.5M in 2023-24, $10.5M in 2024-25, $10.5M in 2025-26, $8.5 in 2026-27 and $7.0M in 2027-28.

The friendship tour has set off NHL fans who are angry that his brother, would support him in a possible cup run, with the better team.

Brady has been seen drunk and celebrating the first game of the series, where Matt ended the night with a Hat-trick and making the Battle of Alberta personal, chirping Evander Kane.

He discussed on ESPN's "The Drop" how unreal it would be to play on the same team as his brother, given he said the family would be all in if Matt makes it to the Finals.

Given that the Sens have Brady locked in until 2028, I honestly don't get the outrage and I doubt the Flames could make a move for Brady unless they deal serious assets. It's just speculation and wishful thinking in my opinion.
