Breaking News - David Pastrnak not willing to re-sign with the Boston Bruins
Don Sweeney has spent most of this offseason reassembling the 2019 Boston Bruins. Bringing back Patrice Bergeron and David Krejc brought the Bruins just a bit closer to the team who lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to the St. Louis Blues. But there is at least one member of the Bruin's core who is considering life after being a Bruin.
David Pastrnak is the Bruins best player and an upcoming free agent next summer. While Don Sweeney has tried to get an extension done with Pastrnak it appears that might be tougher than first thought.
According to Andy & Rono of ARSports Pasta is in no rush to considering re-signing with the Bruins. Pasta's only consideration at this time is winning a Stanley Cup, something he's unsure the Bruins can accomplish.
The Boston Bruins would like re-sign David Pastrnak this off-season already, but according to our source Pastrnak is in no rush to sign an extension. Not so good news for Boston.
It looks like he wants to know if the Bruins still will have a chance to win the Stanley Cup in those next years when Bergeron and Krejci retire. He wants a Stanley Cup so bad. It's his goal.
Don't get us wrong. He still prefers to stay in Boston. He loves the city. But nothing is sure right now. Maybe we'll see Stamkos/Gaudreau situation again or something like that in next summer.
It's clear that Pastrnak's main concern is winning and he's willing to do that at all costs, which you have to respect. With so many plays simply checking the boxes and collecting their pay it's great to see someone consumed with winning a Cup.
