Breaking News - Edmonton Oilers make multiple roster moves to activate Evander Kane
Evander Kane has been absent from the Edmonton Oilers lineup since sustaining a gruesome wrist injury on November 8th, 2022; He'll return tonight as the Oil host the Seattle Kraken who sit fourth in the Western Conference four points ahead of tonight's host.
To make room for Kane the Oilers placed both Kailer Yamamoto and Ryan Murray on long-term injury reserve. These moves clear up nearly $4,000,000 in cap space for the Oilers to activate Kane.
The 31-year-old Kane who was drafted fourth overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009 has played in fourteen games this season contributing five goals and eight assists for thirteen points.
The Vancouver native, a veteran of 826 National Hockey League games seemed to have found his groove this season after controversy followed him during the 2020-21 Covid season where he was demoted to the San Jose Sharks American Hockey League affiliate San Jose Barracudas for five games before catching on in Edmonton.
One thing is for certain with Kane's return, a corresponding move must be made to make room for the Left Winger. Stay tuned to see what Holland has up his sleeve.
