Vancouver Canucks fans and media upset after the franchise disrespects Gino Odjick
On Sunday night the hockey world that they'd lost Gino Odjick to a heart attack. The passing came after a long battle with health issues that stemmed all the way back to 2014. Odjick had battled valiantly, while always showing the Canucks franchise the respect that they deserved. That's why many felt like Odjick himself deserved more respect than he received.
Yesterday the Canucks held a major conversation to address issues with the recovery of Tanner Pearson. Don Taylor of the Donnie & Dhali show shared his thoughts on the choice by the franchise.
Why the hell would the Canucks hold a press conference today? A major press conference as it turns out, to address the Tanner Pearson situation. I don't understand the rush. When it comes to the Canucks, this day should belong to Gino Odjick, the late great Gino Odjick who passed away on the weekend. Instead they hold this press conference, and everybody is focused on that, when they should be focusing on Gino Odjick.
Fans in the comments immediately began to agree with the way this was handled, voicing their displeasure with the franchise.
Things in the Vancouver market continue to reach a fever pitch, with fans beginning to turn on the team its obvious things will continue to get worse before they get better. It also continues to seem like what the fans want isn't what ownership wants.
