Breaking News - Ottawa Senators fire one of their General Managers just two days after disappointing DeBrincat trade
The Ottawa Senators are currently in a transition period, the team is still waiting for their new ownership to officially take over. This has made the day-to-day operations of the team all that much more difficult. Despite the lack of clarity it appears the Senators aren't opposed to make major changes.
Today the team announced that they'd officially terminated the contract of Assistant General Manager Trent Mann.
Ottawa Senators part ways with assistant GM Trent Mann
The termination of Mann comes as a bit of a surprise as he has only been in the role for under a year. Earlier this year Trent's brother was fired as the Head Coach of the Senators AHL affiliate after rumors of him leaking information to other teams emerged.
According to Bruce Garrioch the departure of Mann occured after an early morning meeting with Pierre Dorion. This continues to show the dysfunction of the Senators current rebuild as the team enters year 7 of their rebuild with more questions than answers.
