Breaking News - Teams make 3-way trade ahead of NHL roster freeze
The NHL roster freeze is scheduled for today and because of that teams are working hard to complete any trades they've been working on. Earlier today the Toronto Maple Leafs traded Denis Malgin to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Dryden Hunt.
Now three teams have come together to complete a 3-way trade ahead of the deadline. The Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings have completed a rare 3-way trade.
The deal sends Michael Del Zotto to the Anaheim Ducks, Givani Smith to the Florida Panthers and Danny O'Regan to the Detroit Red Wings.
It will be interesting to see how this trade impacts all 3 teams.
