Breaking News - Western Conference team gives former 29 goal scorer permission to seek a trade
The NHL season is in full swing and with the passing of American Thanksgiving the playoff picture has begun to take shape. The Vancouver Canucks currently sit 6th in the Pacific Division with a 9-12-3 record. The Canucks had high hopes for a bounce back season this year, but that hasn't come to fruition.
Tonight Canucks' Head Coach, Bruce Boudreau made the decision to healthy scratch Brock Boeser, who has had a tough start to his season. Boeser has put up 14 points in 18 games this season, but his play away from the puck has left a lot to be desired.
Now according to Elliotte Friedman things in Vancouver have officially gone off the rails. It now appears that the Canucks are finally prepares to enter a full rebuild. So much so that the Canucks have given Brock Boeser's agent permission to seek a trade for his client.
Brock Boeser's agent has permission to talk to other teams about facilitating a potential move.
Boeser is in the first year of a three year deal which pays him $6,650,000 per season. This will be an interesting situation to monitor as the Canucks have a lot of money already committed and retaining money might not be a possibility.
Update - Brock Boeser will play tonight due to a minor injury sustained by Dakota Joshua.
