Bruce Boudreau may already have his next job lined up
You have to feel bad for the firing of former Vancouver head coach Bruce Boudreau. Not only was it not handled well by Vancouver, but it was an especially emotional time for Boudreau both with the fans and with the players. Now Bruce has options about what he'd like to do moving forward. It is entirely possibly that Bruce gets a head coaching position with another NHL franchise again. Maybe not this season, but certainly next year if he wants to.
In the meantime, Boudreau might take some time to regroup and collect his thoughts. According to reporter Michael Russo, Bruce has already been offered an analyst spot on TSN to cover the trade deadline. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be an analyst for playoff games either. Ironically that is exactly what new Vancouver head coach Rick Tocchet was doing.
Whatever it is that Boudreau does you have to wish him success. He was put in an awful situation in Vancouver and they have been a disaster this season. At the end of the day, it's Bruce's decision but I hope to see him on TV at some point this season and I sure hope he gets another opportunity to coach in a much better situation then he was previously in.
