The Boston Bruins didn't have the season they would've hope, but they might be bringing back a fan favourite who played over overseas last year. Everyone presumably thought his NHL career was over, but it appears he may be on his way back to TD Garden after all.

According to Lou Melori of NBC sports has reported that David Krejci is in the process of potentially negotiating a contract to return to the Bruins this upcoming season.

Krejci, 36, has spent his entire NHL career as a member of the Bruins, but decided to return home last year and play in the Czech League and play for Olomouc HC in what many assumed to be an indication that his hockey career was winding down. In 962 NHL games with the B's Krejci has 215 goals and 515 assists for 730 points.

After leaving the NHL Krejci made comments about how he felt underutilized by Bruce Cassidy, who was unwilling to play him alongside David Pastrnak. The return of Krejci would likely just signal what many have believed and confirm Bruce Cassidy was most definitely a dividing factor in the Bruins locker room.

If the Bruins can convince Krejci to return it would certainly be a boost down the middle of the ice for a team in desperate need for centers.
