Buffalo Sabres provide important update on status of tonight's game amid major snow storm
The Buffalo Sabres had started out on a tear in the beginning of the NHL season, before falling 7-10-0 and 7th in the Atlantic Division.
In another troubling development, Buffalo is currently covered in 6 feet of snow which has made life difficult for the NHL to offer its usual coverage of the game
The MSG Network will have to run the game as usual, but if you're expecting team coverage beforehand you're out of luck.
Due to the storm, there will be no pregame or post game show from Buffalo. This might be disappointing for some fans, but at least the game goes on
Snowfall totals of over 6 feet have been recorded in two locations, according to the National Weather Service. Orchard Park, where the NFL's Buffalo Bills play, has picked up 77.0 inches in the last 48 hours, and Natural Bridge, just east of Watertown, has picked up 72.3 inches historic numbers for the area.
For posterity's sake the last time anything happened like this, many fans didn't show up to the Grand Blizzard Game between the Calgary Flames and New Jersey Devils in 1987.
I for one, am just glad there is a hockey game tonight.
