Cale Makar close to accomplishing something no defenseman has ever accomplished in NHL history
Cale Makar is without question one of the top defensemen in the NHL. At only 24-years-old the talented defenseman already has a Calder Trophy, Norris Trophy and Conn Smythe Trophy to his name along with a Stanley Cup. Makar has accomplished more in 4 seasons than most players accomplish in their career.
Now 192 games into his NHL career Makar looks poised to accomplish something that has never been accomplished in NHL history and all it will take it 2 more points.
Cale Makar needs two points in his next seven games or less to be the first and only defenseman in NHL history to reach 200 career points before playing 200 career games.
Makar's offensive output and talent is something the NHL hasn't seen in years. The skill combined with his hockey IQ makes the defender a generational talent on defense like the league hasn't seen.
