JT Miller has been at the center of attention for the Canucks basically since he signed with the team.
Things have escalated this season though as rumors of a locker room rift continue to pour out of the organization.
The main rift seems to be between Miller and Elias Pettersson, leading to speculation that one of the forwards would be traded this season.
Now would seem like a good time for a deal as Miller's relationship with everyone around him seems to be deteriorating.
Even Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has grown tired of his antics, calling him out after a recent game.
Now it appears as though the final domino may be falling.
Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal is reporting that the team is working very hard on a deal for Miller and while they haven't formally asked him to waive his no-move clause yet, a deal is getting close.
It will be interesting to see where Miller ends up and what the Canucks get in return for him.
The 31-year-old center has 29 points in 34 games this year but has consistently had a questionable reputation off the ice which may hurt his trade value.
The fact that he has a full no-move clause will also hamstring the Canucks, likely forcing them to accept a less-than-ideal return.
This may very well be an instance of addition by subtraction though as we could see the rest of the team's moral improve when he is gone.
Be sure to keep an eye on the Canucks now as a deal could happen at any moment.
