Canadiens reach out to the fan who was asked to leave the Leafs game to make things right
This story has been all over the media for the last 48-hours, after a father of a young boy claimed he had to leave Scotiabank Arena. While his original Tweet was ambiguous and made it seem as though the boy missed more of the game than he did. It turned out they only missed the final 10-minutes, after refusing to check the stick with guest services.
Hunter received a stick from Nick Suzuki, after a puck thrown by the Habs' forward struck Hunter in the lip. It appears though that the Canadiens aren't bothered by the logistics of the story, but simply making sure the young fan is taken care of. Kyle Bukauskas shared the following:
As we just shared on the broadcast both Nick Suzuki and the Canadiens connected with the family and will have them as guests at the game Saturday when the Capitals come to town.
Stick taps to Suzuki and the team for making a feel-good story even better @Sportsnet
It turns out that this story will have a happy ending regardless of the details shared by Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment.
It's nice to see the Canadiens embracing their young fans and doing everything possible to make sure they have the ultimate fan experience.
