It's clear as day as to what the Chicago Blackhawks are doing with their team. They're in a complete rebuild phase. The Blackhawks have just announced that both Brett Connolly and Henrik Borgstrom have been put on Unconditional Waivers with the purpose of being bought out.
Connolly and Borgstrom both have 2 years left on their contracts and will therefore out against the cap for 4 more seasons.
Connolly only played in 9 games with the Blackhawks, putting up 1 point. Borgstrom played 52 games putting up 7 points. Unless claimed both players will be bought out tomorrow afternoon.
