Chychrun to the Bruins? Insider suggests acquisition cost
The Jakob Chychrun sweepstake continues to heat up ahead of the deadline, and today Insider Frank Seravalli suggested the starting point of a deal that would send the young defenceman to Boston.
The Bruins, who are looking to make another playoff push with a now aging core in Bergeron and Marchand, could use the youthful injection of Chychrun and to stabilize a weaker than usual Bruins defence core. Considering Chychrun's contract, he could potentially be a long-term fixture on the Bruins' back end. But what kind of asset would the Bruins have to part with to acquire the star defence man?
Frank Seravalli suggested today on the Daily Faceoff Podcast that Jeremy Swayman could potentially be the starting piece in a Chychrun trade. The young goaltender would be a massive addition to the Coyotes crease for years to come, and the Bruins have Linus Ullmark signed for multiple years as well. A rare goaltender-defenceman trade could make sense here between the Coyotes and Bruins.
