Report confirms something fun relating to 2022-23 NHL uniforms
During the 2020-21 season, NHL clubs released a set of fun throwback jersey designs with a modern spin under the brand "Reverse Retro". Some teams really blew the idea out of the water, while others just plain blew it.
Could a shot at redemption be on the horizon for the teams who missed the mark? According to the NHL, there will be. As reported by The Athletic's Sean Shapiro, the NHL will revive the Reverse Retro concept in 2022-23.
Obviously, this is huge for teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs, who unveiled this abomination last season:
I'm sure that a few other teams would like a mulligan over their poorly-received designs as well. The idea was a fun one last season and some new designs next season is something that fans will likely fully embrace.
The Colorado Avalanche were among the teams whose designs were very well-received. There was a lot of buzz about the LA Kings designs and the return of the Washington Capitals eagle design as well.
The Leafs, along with the Ducks, Red Wings and Blue Jackets were some of the ones that were not as well-received.
