Claude Giroux had a memorable first shift as a Panther
First games can be nerve wracking, first games for a new team after playing 1,000 games for another franchise are likely even worse. The fear of not contributing to a team that paid valuable assets for you, is a scary perspective. Get off to a slow start and it could define you. But that's not somehow Claude Giroux has to worry about anymore.
In Claude Giroux's first game as a Florida Panther he was able to make an immediate impact and it only took him 7-seconds of ice time to do it. After Nick Suzuki scored to give the Canadiens a 1-0 lead, Giroux set up Alexandre Barkov for his 27th goal of the season.
You could see the excitement in Giroux's face as it likely was a weight off of his shoulders.
